For me. product design is a process of solving problems. The more clearly I can define an object’s function. aesthetic and cost. the freer I am to focus on finding a creative solution. I think about exactly what the object is supposed to do. I focus on the user experience. And as I do this. the details of the object’s appearance and construction begin to emerge. Ornament flows from a sense of style and integrates itself as the design coalesces. The joy of design for me is in the flash of visualization of an object that happens as its place in the continuum of consumer lifestyle crystallizes.
